In late June, Rock Ferry Wines closed the cellar door for the winter season and said farewell to the incredible Cellar Door Hosts that we have been lucky to have on our team over the last few years. They helped Rock Ferry through the uncertainty of Covid, domestic lockdowns, and closed international borders while refocusing our community and ever-growing new friends to the new cellar door and venue space offering our local, seasonal food platters and of course, our stunning organic wines.
Rock Ferry Wines has had an amazing few years for events as well with the MANA Wine Fest, Yoga at Rock Ferry Wines classes and workshops, celebrating international wine days with library flights (even creating our own days!), Laid Back & Live Music Sessions, and the local favorite - the Twilight Market. Rock Ferry Wines also received a Silver Level of Certification from Qualmark New Zealand and made it to the Real Review’s Top Wineries of New Zealand for both 2022 and 2023.
This week marks another change at Rock Ferry Wines, as Sarah Fix, Cellar Door & Marketing Manager who started as the Assistant Winemaker for the 2020 vintage, is moving on to other opportunities here in Marlborough. She is proud of what she and the Cellar Door team accomplished and is very thankful to have been able to support the Marlborough and wider community during the last three years. We wish her all the best in her next adventure!
